Drawing inspiration from the scenery in Cheshire, Sam paints the ever-changing woodland landscape around her with varying degrees of representation and abstraction. And when painting in her house down by the sea, where an estuary runs through the bottom of the garden, sandy beaches and craggy bays find their way into her canvases.
Sam is often to be found making spontaneous sketches outside which she will further develop once back in the studio. Her love for drawing is deep-rooted and can often be seen beneath her muted palette.
Sam has a first-class honours degree in Fine Art and an MA in Art and Design.
