Kim Langford was born in 1966. In 1987 she did an Art Foundation course at the Medway College of Art and Design followed by a Higher National Diploma in Art and Design at Suffolk College. In 1988 Kim spent a year travelling, mostly in China and India and later Cambodia and Thailand which inspired a new palette for her. She now spends many holidays in Salcombe, Devon with her family and black labrador, Rosie. Kim's latest paintings are influenced by the seascapes, the colourful fishing boats and the sandy coves in the area where she spends many hours sketching and painting. Kim's paintings are full of texture and she likes her work to be tactile and full of life to convey the feeling for the place she is painting. She is continuously striving to develop as an artist.
